What Participants Say

Testimonials

"We came to the Finding Agreement Workshop a bit unsure of what to expect. The facilitation was even-handed — I never felt like one of us was being guided toward the other's position. We left with a communication reference card that we still keep on the kitchen noticeboard. Small but genuinely useful."

"The Resource Library is better value than I initially thought. I joined mainly for a couple of specific guides on household planning, but ended up reading far more widely. My one note: the article on financial planning resources could be expanded. The rest of the content is quite thorough."

"We did the Shared Decisions Programme over five sessions. It was slower than I expected — which actually turned out to be a good thing. The pace gave both of us time to process things between meetings. The planning worksheets were practical and easy to follow at home."

"What I appreciated most was how clear Concorda was about what they are — education, not counselling or legal advice. They said so at the start and stuck to it throughout. The facilitator was calm and kept the session structured without it feeling rigid. It worked well for us."

"I joined the workshop on my own — my partner could not attend that day. It still worked. The group exercises were set up so you could practise with different people rather than only with whoever you came with. That was a helpful design choice I had not expected."

Bang Lamung, Chonburi — June 2025

"We enrolled in the Shared Decisions Programme because we were struggling to agree on household responsibilities. Concorda did not try to resolve the disagreement for us — they gave us a structure to resolve it ourselves. That distinction matters. We both feel we worked it out, not that someone decided it for us."

How Families Used the Programmes

Challenge

A couple with two adult children living at home found that conversations about household finances and shared responsibilities regularly ended without resolution — and sometimes became tense. They wanted a structured way to talk through these topics without it becoming personal.

What They Did

They enrolled two adults from the household in the Finding Agreement Workshop (half-day format) and subsequently joined the Shared Decisions Programme for four structured sessions. The Resource Library was used between sessions for reference.

Outcome

By the end of the Shared Decisions Programme, the household had a written responsibilities plan both parties had contributed to equally. They reported conversations about shared costs becoming noticeably shorter and less contentious within about three weeks.

"We did not think a workshop could change anything practical. It turned out the structure was the thing we had been missing."

Challenge

An expatriate family in the Chonburi area was navigating a period of significant change — school transitions, a shift in working arrangements — and was looking for clear information on what support resources existed in Thailand and how to access them.

What They Did

They signed up for annual membership to the Information & Resource Library and specifically used the sections on official Thai public services, education resources, and how to locate qualified professional services in the region.

Outcome

The family described the Library as "a first stop" rather than a final answer — which is exactly the purpose. They used the resource links to find and contact appropriate specialists directly and felt more informed going into those conversations.

"It saved us a lot of searching. The fact that the content is in plain language rather than legal text made it much easier to understand what we were actually looking at."
